Project - Scope/Solution : |
Quality Fabrication & Supply was in the market for a new welding and cutting fume extraction design for their automatic plasma and robotic cutting and welding area. The system that was installed by another company did not capture the high volume of smoke and was costing thousands of dollars a year in replacement filters. SafeAir reviewed the plant operations and designed a fully automatic and self cleaning welding/cutting fume capture system. The system is ducted to a central self cleaning cartridge dust collector that draws all the welding and cutting fumes away from the welders' breathing zone and the welding process. Before the SafeAir/Amtech system was installed, toxic fumes spread across the plant and office areas. |
